Solar Panels in Winter

The fact that it occasionally snows in winter is no surprise, but Jack Frost is not exactly friendly for sustainable energy. Besides the freezing of certain bio-fuels, thus jamming the engine, ensuring orbiting pieces of ice even for large wind turbine blades hazards. Also solar panels have been hampered by the winter, but the expected lack of sunlight make snow and frost cover the panels and this causes a large yield loss. Read the rest of this entry »
